Pure Mountain Sidr Honey

The flagship of the house — dark, complex, unmistakable.

About this product

Sidr honey comes from bees that feed on the blossom of the sidr tree (Ziziphus spina-christi), a tree that has grown across Arabia and the Horn of Africa for thousands of years. The harvest window is famously short — a few weeks in the year — which is why genuine sidr honey has always been scarce, and why so much of what is sold under the name is not the real thing.

Ours is the same honey we have imported and supplied to the trade for years: raw and unheated, never blended, with the deep amber colour and long, complex finish that sidr is prized for. Every batch is traceable to its harvest.

The jar carries our name because we are the importer — there is no chain of middlemen between the harvest and your table.

How it’s enjoyed

  • By the spoon, in the traditional way — many take it first thing in the morning
  • Stirred into warm (not boiling) water or milk
  • Drizzled over dates, yoghurt, porridge or good bread
  • Paired with black seed for the classic combination

Storage

Keep at room temperature away from direct sunlight. Raw honey may crystallise naturally over time — stand the jar in warm water to loosen it. Do not refrigerate.
